Norlan is the heart and soul of this land—a devoted gardener and guardian who has walked beside us since the very beginning. When we first purchased this sacred mountain property in 2021, it was wild and untamed, waiting to be shaped with love and vision. From that moment on, Norlan became not only our gardener but the true steward of this earth. With every tree he planted, every seed he laid into the soil, he infused the land with his quiet strength, deep respect for nature, and an unshakable sense of care. His connection to the land is not just practical - it is spiritual.
Norlan sees the soul of each plant, listens to the whispers of the forest, and tends to the land as one would care for a living being. Today, every leaf that dances in the breeze, every flower that blooms, carries his touch. He is, in many ways, the true creator of the lush sanctuary we now call home. We are forever grateful to Norlan—for his labor, his loyalty, and the love he continues to offer this land with humility and grace.

Omid, whose name means “Hope,” lives up to his name in every possible way. He is a joyful, playful, and friendly soul who lights up every space he enters with his vibrant energy and loving heart. Omid absolutely loves being around people—always eager to make new friends, both human and animal alike. Whether he’s joyfully romping through the garden, playing with other animals, or chasing little bugs along the beach, he does it all with a sense of wonder and delight that’s contagious. He’s also a natural swimmer, often diving into the ocean with fearless excitement and pure bliss. Omid is more than a dog—he’s a beam of sunshine, a reminder to live with joy, and a source of unconditional love and happiness for everyone who meets him.

Meet Coco, my beloved companion and guardian soul in feline form. Coco is a Persian cat who has been by my side since 2012, journeying with me across continents—from our homeland in Iran to Canada, then to the U.S., and finally to the lush mountains of Costa Rica. More than a pet, Coco is a graceful presence and a loving friend who has shared every chapter of my life with quiet loyalty and sweetness. With his gentle nature and dignified charm, he brings warmth wherever he goes. Guests are often delighted to find him waiting at the door, as he never misses a chance to greet newcomers with his soft gaze and affectionate energy. Coco is truly part of the soul of this place, a living reminder of love that travels and roots itself wherever the heart calls home.

Shirah

Canela—whose name means “cinnamon”—is a gentle, peaceful soul with a heart as warm as her name. Quiet and tender by nature, she receives love with an open heart and a calm presence that instantly puts others at ease. Canela is deeply receptive to affection, often resting her head softly into a guest’s lap, soaking in the tenderness offered to her. She is also Omid’s loyal companion and dearest friend—they are inseparable playmates, sharing countless adventures together. While Omid brings the energy, Canela brings the stillness, creating the perfect balance between them. One of her favorite joys is diving into the jungle trails, disappearing among the trees as she plays hide and seek with other animals, her graceful spirit blending effortlessly with the wild. Canela is a quiet blessing—present, loving, and deeply connected to the land and those who walk upon it.

Shirah— means poetry - also known as Noghrei—is the embodiment of peace and serenity. With her soft silver coat and gentle, innocent face, she moves through the world with a quiet grace that soothes everyone around her. Shirah carries a calming presence, as if she were a little guardian of stillness, here to remind us to slow down and breathe.
She often finds a cozy corner to curl up in, radiating tranquility like a small blessing upon the space. Her gentle spirit touches the heart without needing to ask for anything in return. Shirah is not just a cat—she is a whisper of peace in our everyday lives, a presence that brings comfort and calm to all who cross her path.

Shira is the playful hunter.

Shiloh - meaning gift of god - also lovingly called Narenji—is the sweetest, most tender-hearted cat you could ever meet.
He is a true lover, radiating affection and warmth in every movement and purr. Sensitive to the energies around him, Shiloh intuitively feels people’s emotions and often finds his way to those who need a little extra love or comfort.
His presence is soothing and healing, like a soft balm for the soul. My connection with him is something truly special—deep, intuitive, and full of unspoken understanding. Shiloh is more than a pet; he is a companion of the heart, a quiet guide, and a living expression of love in feline form.

Mr. Ghooghool

Mr. Ghooghool is the beloved rooster of the land—and at that moment the only chicken on the property. Perched high in his favorite tree, he greets each new day with his heartfelt song at dawn. Gentle and endearing, Mr. Ghooghool brings a touch of magic and presence to the mornings, reminding all who hear him of nature’s rhythm and the quiet joy of living in harmony with the Earth.

Built with reverence and intention, the space is dedicated to high-vibrational healing through the ancient language of frequency. The unicorn mural at the entrance holds a quiet power -
an image that came to me in the beginning, before we found this land. we didn’t know where I was going, only that we were searching for a place that felt like home to our soul. In those moments of asking, it was the symbol of the unicorn that appeared to me - gentle, strong, and otherworldly.
It became a guide, a reminder to trust the invisible, to follow the subtle signs, and to believe in what cannot yet be seen.

This painting is a reflection of that journey.
To me, the unicorn represents the pure essence of believing in magic rooted in the earth - the meeting point between fantasy like vision and reality. It’s a reminder that even the most dreamy visions can manifest into form in this world, if we dare to believe in magic.

I can’t express enough how truly unforgettable the hospitality was that Leyla and Ramin extended to us. From the very moment we stepped out of the car, we knew we had arrived at a place like no other—one that radiates an incredible, spiritual energy. Everywhere we went, we felt its presence. Leyla and Ramin greeted us with open arms, and they guided us to our room, where we were completely in awe. The design of the space brought the outside in, with floor-to-ceiling windows on all sides, offering a breathtaking view that made us feel as though we were immersed in the heart of the rainforest. The room was beautifully appointed, with a kitchen that was not only stylish but also fully equipped, and a spacious bathroom that included a shower with an amazing rainfall showerhead. The wraparound porch was perfect for relaxing, whether we were enjoying a meal outdoors or sipping on a refreshing, healthy drink while surrounded by nature’s beauty.

Each morning, Ramin made us a cup of his special coffee, and we had the pleasure of enjoying it in their cozy café, along with delicious little cookies. What made it even more unique was the coconut milk he used, as it’s a local substitute for cream, adding an extra touch to the already exceptional coffee. Ramin’s coffee is something truly special! Every service we experienced was exceptional and absolutely our favorite. The sauna, the cold dip, the rejuvenating mud bath, and the final rinse-off left us feeling completely refreshed. The sound healing was nothing short of magical, and Leyla’s guidance through it was profound. She is such a gifted guide, and the meditations we participated in went so deep—body, mind, and soul. It was truly a transformative journey, and Leyla was with us every step of the way, making sure we felt supported and connected.

We left feeling more at peace, more grounded, and with hearts full of gratitude. Leyla and Ramin, thank you for making our experience so special, for welcoming us with such warmth, and for offering a sanctuary that will stay with us forever.

My friend and I booked a place at Ojo de Horus Eden for a night. Absolutely coincidentally, we needed a night somewhere quite to rest on a long drive from La Fortuna to Dominical.The minute we walked in we knew we wanted an extra night. The apartment was so beautiful and peaceful, clean and original. The whole area and space really felt like Eden. We didn’t have any food on us so Leyla and Ramin offered a home made dinner for both night - delicious! Our morning started with the most incredible spa retreat.

Facilities and privacy were beyond believable!The highlight of the whole stay was feeling of home, warmth and safety Leyla and Ramin created.
